Error message while opening report in Power Bi Desktop

Hello All,
I have build a report in Power Bi Desktop and published it online . All the data used to build the report is saved on my organization SharePoint online. I have added some new files on SharePoint and wanted to refresh the report but I have been trying since three days and cannot succeed opening the report. the size of  the report is only 1.74 MB and all my other PBIx files are opening.

I need your help on this please. and how can I refresh the report on the power bi service without opening the PBIx file as the data on the SharePoint folder will be updated monthly.
Please find the file that is not opening attached. I am using a new LENOVO Thinkpad T14s as laptop and have enough memory.

Thank very much in advance for your help

@Anonymous

You need to check the difference between your colleague and your computer configuration and powerbi version,or try to uninstall the software and reinstall. If the modification can be done on your colleague’s computer, it’s not a pbi file problem.

Hi, @Anonymous

What does it mean that the report can't be opened successfully, Is there a screenshot of the error message?

If you want to refresh data without open the pbix file, you need to download a gateway and set schedule refresh.

Reference:

Power BI Gateway | Microsoft Power BI

Configure scheduled refresh - Power BI | Microsoft Docs

Hello @v-janeyg-msft  ,

Please find in the screenshot above the error message that I got while trying to open the report today. Sometimes I just got a blank page. Please note that I have two other report larger than this one that are still opening fine.

Indeed I need to set up a scheduled refresh, but I have a final transformation to add to do in Power query that is why I need to open the report. On another note, can the schedule report being set up even if the data is stored on my Org SharePoint?

Thank you very much in advance.

Hi, @Anonymous

Did you install 32-bit pbi desktop? Try to install 64-bit latest version.

Download Microsoft Power BI Desktop from Official Microsoft Download Center

Hi @v-janeyg-msft  ,

I am using the 64-bit version and I have even downloaded the latest version when I started facing this issue but without any change, I still got the same error.

@Anonymous Are you completely unable to open this report now? Can you still view it on the service?

Hi @v-janeyg-msft  ,

I still can view it in the service and even manage to download the PBIx file from the service but I can open it in Power bi Desktop but I need to add one change to a query in Power Query and also need to refresh the report as i did not configure a sheduled report.

Thank you for your time.

@Anonymous So the problem happened after you added the query? Can you share this query?

@v-janeyg-msft  no i was trying to open the report and add just a simple transformation in a query and this is where I began encountering the problem.

@v-janeyg-msft I have just tried to open again the report and got a blank page and have to restart my computer...at the same time all my other report are still opening without any problem.

@Anonymous  ......This error will appear when you open the pq interface, right?

@v-janeyg-msft  no I did not even reach the vizualisation page I have created already.

The report did not simply open at all.

Hi, @Anonymous

It may be that the file has been irreversibly damaged after you modified it. You can try to re-download the report in the service to the desktop, and then change what you want. And can you explain what you want to change?

@v-janeyg-msft  I have tried this solution, it opened on one of my colleages's PC but not on mine. I just want to replace "null" by a value in a column; I was waiting for instructions to confirm the value.
