Hi PowerBi wizards,
A new error message emerged in the last few days. I have not changed anything in PowerBi and this is affecting different reports.
I get an error message containing:
'Unable to authenticate with Google BigQuery Storage API. Check your account permissions'
I can still connect to BigQuery in desktop, can see and select my tables and get a preview. However, the load fails with the above error message.
Any suggestions? I'm reaching out to my BigQuery colleagues to see if they have changed anything but was wondering if anyone has encountered this?
Many thanks!
Hi JonSwed,
It seems there might be a permissions issue with the connection. To resolve this, you'll need to grant the "BigQuery Read Session User" role to the appropriate user in Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role allows the user to access and query data within BigQuery.
