Error installing Power BI Desktop on Windows 10

I am having issues installing Power BI Desktop on Windows 10. The installer ends prematurely with a nondescript error message. I have tried both 64/32bit instances of the application and both of them...

    Hi chanceshaw,

     

    Here is a similar thread in which some workarounds are mentioned. Could your go to check if it helps in your scenario? :smileyhappy:

    Could you try the following steps:

    1. Go into c:\users\"username"\AppData\Local\ (Replace username with your own user name)
    2. Right click on "temp" and choose "properies".
    3. Choose "security" --> edit --> add,
    4. And add the username you are using, and give yourself all rights.

"Microsoft power BI desktop (x64) requires internet explorer 9RTM or later.'' I got this error message while trying to install Power BI on windows 7 professional and I have tried installing internet explorer 9 and 11 but I was not able to install it on my computer because of OS incompatibility issues with the internet explorer. I am currently using windows 7 professional. Please what can be done to resolve this error.
