Error in visuals because I deleted a table - retrievable?

Okay so I am a final semester student.

For my internship I am creating a report, but I deleted some of my data tables forgetting that some of the data was referenced as values in text parts of my report and deleting it would completely ruin those parts of the report.

I get this error. I know the text is still there because I see it for a second every time I refresh the data. But I can't find how to get to it and edit the values. If I try to list the values, it's not there.I even tried recreating the table it references, by copying across the PowerQuery and DAX for calculated columns, but the text box still won't come back to visible. Is there any way to fix this, without completely recreating it? I had the data I was stilll finding highlighted, so it's a bit more work than just pasting the text back in.

Also is there a way to have common values across the report? I have values like Month Year that are referenced throughout the report and I would really like to not have to make the values for each page. Thanks in advance.

Thank you. 'Fix this' was the first thing I tried but unfortunately that is doing nothing. It doesn't seem to know how to fix it. Did try it on another visual (table) that was broken and it fixed that, but now this. If I go into 'See Details' I get no details. This looks like it should give me a list of fields that need fixing, but it's blank.

This is kind of what the visual is about, although this is just a practice one to get used to Power BI. Obviously there's a lot more text in the real report, and a lot more variables. The parts underlined are the variables (or 'values') I referenced or calculated from the data.

This is where I set up the values for the above data. But I can't get into values for any of the broken text box visuals. If I could get into here I could change the values to only refer to current data tables. But I can't seem to get into the values table without clicking on the visual itself, but with the visual broken, all available options are greyed out.

The above is just a file I began practicing on. I do have backups, but I think the problem happened several backups ago, and I worked on other things while I tried to figure out online how to fix it. Perhaps I could recreate the later visuals by copying the DAX and PowerQuery, as I tried to do for this problem by copying the PowerQuery and DAX for deleted visuals.  I'd just prefer not to waste a whole lot of time on that if there's an easier way. My internship is finished soon, around mid-July if my extension is granted, so time is a big factor here.

Hi @Anonymous

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Fabric Forum Community.

@maruthisp Thank you for your onputs.
@Anonymous  - Since your table is deleted and you recreated it manually, Power BI likely treats it as new, not a continuation — hence it can't resolve the references.

If it was created via Power Query, copy the exact M code from the backup.

Hi JodyW,

Click on Fix This button, so that that action removes the error fields or columns form the visual.
Find out what is the columns causing issues and fix them.
Once you fix them, drag and drop into visual again to see whether those are working or not as per expected.

Try to use version control for pbix files.

Or just copy and take backup everytime when you do major changes on the pbix files. This is manual step to do.

Or use OneDrive to store the file and replace everytime. So, that Once drive can store all the versions as per the date changes. You can download what ever the version you like.
