Hello,
I am trying to import an Excel file from SharePoint into Power BI.
I have an MS account with access to the file.
However, when I try to use the SharePoint folder connector to import the file, I encounter the following error.
DataSource.Error: Credentials are required to decrypt this workbook, but none were provided. Details: Path=https://aaworkplace.sharepoint.com/sites/aaaaaaaaaaaaaa ErrorMessage=Client application failed to provide authentication token for HTTP request., CorrelationId=1e908cec-914a-427a-bf51-9b64d27d9a6a, CorrelationId.Description=PolicyProfile
How can I resolve this issue?
HI @Lora0121 ,
I am assuming that you do have the rights necessary to open the file? And, I am assuming that the file is not password protected? If so, then I am wondering about the way you are connecting to the file.
You stated that this was an Excel file in SharePoint. The way that I normally get an Excel file is to go to SharePoint, open the Excel file in the app (not just the browser). Then, select Info and "copy path".
Then, in Power BI, use "web" connector and paste that URL (BUT, be sure to remove the ?web=1 from it though).
Let us know if that resolved the problem.
