Hi, here is my error.
I have 2 fact tables, 2 measures counting sum of YTD - TOTALYTD, 1 matrix visualisation and when I'm going into days I get an error.
When I'm looking into year, quarters, months ist's ok.
Please Help 🙂 to understand.
Adam

Hi @Adam_Zuk ,
Thanks for sharing the details. To properly identify what’s causing the error in your YTD measures at the day level, I’ll need a bit more information.
Please upload:
A small mock dataset (Excel or CSV) — not screenshots
Or a sanitized PBIX with just the relevant tables/measures
You can use OneDrive, Google Drive, WeTransfer, etc.
This doesn’t need to contain confidential data — just enough structure to reproduce the issue.
From the behavior you mentioned, here are a few likely reasons:
Missing dates in one of your fact tables
TOTALYTD relies on a complete Date table and proper relationships.
If a fact table is missing certain dates, drilling down to the day level may return errors or blanks.
Date table is not marked as a Date Table
Ensure your calendar table is:
Continuous (no gaps)
Has a single-column date key
Marked as “Date Table” in Power BI
Incorrect model relationships
If both fact tables connect to the Date table using different granularity or inactive relationships, YTD calculations may conflict when drilling to lower levels.
Use of multiple fact tables in one visual
Sometimes mixing measures from two separate fact tables inside the same matrix can cause context issues unless your Date table is the single, central relationship.
Once you share a sample file, I’ll help pinpoint the exact cause and show you how to fix it.
Regards,
Nadeem
Did I answer your question? If so, please mark this as a solution to help others in the community.
I try to simplyfy my pbi file and send it to You to analyze.
I think I have one clue... one of the fact tables doesn't have all the days in the date column
If I put measures to simple table visualistion everything works great.
Maybe this is the way ... to resolve it.
Thanks for your involvement.
Hi @Adam_Zuk
Please provide a workable sample data (not an image), your expected result from the same sample data and your reasoning behind. You may post a link to Excel or a sanitized copy of your PBIX stored in the cloud. A sample data set doesn't need to be confidential, but it should accurately reflect your actual data. While creating one might involve considerable effort, providing solutions can also be time-consuming. Help us help you.
