Hola comunidad,

In addition to @Akash_Varuna troubleshooting steps below, here are a few more that may help you resolve the issue.
To fix the invalid connection credentials error when connecting Power BI Service to a local Excel file using the personal gateway, make sure you're using the correct Windows username format like DOMAIN\username, and re enter your credentials in Power BI Service under gateway settings. Try connecting to the folder instead of the file directly, and ensure your gateway is updated to the latest version. Avoid using network paths keep the file in a local or OneDrive-synced folder. Also, check that the gateway service account has proper permissions, and if issues continue, consider switching to the enterprise gateway(Standard Mode )for better control.

Hi!
Thank you for your recomendations! the gateway service account didnt have its proper permissions to access de file, it was that!!
Thank you very much for your help!
Hi @Cognisanalytics ,
Thank you for the confirmation and for sharing the workaround. I really appreciate your support.

Hi @Cognisanalytics It might be due to how the gateway interprets OneDrive paths. Ensure you're using the local synced file path. Confirm the gateway runs under the same user account with access. If the issue persists, try moving the file to a local folder outside OneDrive.
