I'm connecting to a SQL database using DirectQuery. I can see a table in the Model view, but in the Report view I don't see anything. Also, when trying to refresh the data, it shows this error.
@nanci - There are a ton of possible reasons for this. I would start with the server/instance's name and the database name. Should go look at your data connection settings for these. Confirm you can ping the server/instance name. Confirm that you can open it in SQL Server Management Studio, etc. Where are you at in this troubleshooting process?
@Greg_Deckler
Server and database names are correct. I can already see the table in the Model View, but I see nothing in the Report View.
Also, it works fine if I change the connection to Import, the problem is when it uses Direct Query.
Hi @nanci ,
Did you use the encrypt connection?

@v-lionel-msft yes, it is using Encrypt, I think this is by default.
I tried without Encrypt but I got the same error.
