Error connecting using ODBC for MongoDB in PBI, Connection to Excel works fine.
Anonymous , came across a similar error, i.e. Unable to connect to a Progress Data Direct Mongo DB ODBC data source), after a Java update, and this affected my x64 bit Power BI Desktop application. I resolved the same by simply uninstalling and reinstalling the Power BI! Presto! Done!
Went down this route because I observed, like others, that connecting to the same data source in Excel was successful (i.e. sample screenshot), yet on Power BI, this wasn’t working, hence concluding the fault was specific on Power BI.
