Error connecting to Azure Database

Hello all:

I am getting an error trying to connect to an Azure SQL Database from Power BI desktop. I set up the firewall rule in Azure, and I know my credentials are correct, but no joy. Can anyone suggest some troubleshooting steps?

HI @JohnStraumann ,

From your screenshot, it looks like you are entering credentials under WINDOWS section.

I think you need to add credentials to DATABASE section.

Hi @JohnStraumann ,

Please ensure that your user id is provided access on the database level.

Also, for  a detailed login error you can try accessing the desired database and table from Sql Server Management Studio.

It might give you the detailed error.
