Hello,
Connecting Power BI Desktop to an ODBC source, I'm getting the following error:
DataSource.Error: ERROR [HY000] [DataDirect][ODBC Progress OpenEdge Wire Protocol driver][OPENEDGE]Column %s in table %s has value exceeding its max length or precision (7864)
This is the M code in advanced editor:
let Origem = Odbc.DataSource("dsn=abcDEF", [HierarchicalNavigation=true]), ABC_Database = Origem{[Name="ABC",Kind="Database"]}[Data], PUB_Schema = ABC_Database{[Name="PUB",Kind="Schema"]}[Data], cm_mstr_Table = PUB_Schema{[Name="cm_mstr",Kind="Table"]}[Data] in cm_mstr_Table
In the same database other tables are correctly imported, so it seems the problem is specific for this table only.
No SQL is being used within the query.
Any help anyone?
Thanks!
Hi @webportal ,
Please disable the option to try again.
Thanks for your help, but I get exactly the same error after proceeding as you suggest.
@v-frfei-msft or anyone else, is there a way to avoid selecting the problematic fields through a SQL statement?
Or any other solution?
