Error: Service Name or Service Key Value is required

Hi, I am wondering if anyone have encounter this error "Service name or service key value is required". I cannot seem to find similar post on the forum.

    What are you trying to do? Where does this error occur?

      The error occurs when I open the BI file on my desktop app or attempt to refresh. 

      The error does not prevent the refresh from happening, however, it just pops up whenever I do it.

        Hi Anonymous ,

         

        1. Try removing and re-adding the data source connection credentials in Power BI Desktop.

        2. What version of Power BI Desktop are you using? Make sure you are using the latest version of Power BI Desktop.Sometimes, updating the application can solve unexpected problems.

        3. Use the following command in command prompt to check if the system needs any fixes.

        sfc /scannow
