Do you get above error message when opening the PBIX file in the latest version of Power BI Desktop?
In the above screenshot, you can send a Frown about this issue to Microsoft. If you have backup of this PBIX file, try to place all of the root files from the new data model file into this older zipped PBIX file following the instructions in this similar thread and check if the error goes away.
