Hi everyone,
I was trying to use the new feature of a bar chart with small multiples for Power BI Report Server.
We are using a live connection to a SSAS multidimensional cube and when adding the data fields from the cube I get the following error message in Power BI Desktop:
The data fields are:
- Axis: Month
- Values: Sales
- Small multiples: Year
There is data in the dimensions and measure and a normal bar chart works without any problems. I also tried with other data fields from the same cube (such as Country, Region, etc.) but I get the same result.
When I test the feature with Import of the same data, it works!
Are small multiples for bar chart not supported for a live connection to SSAS or there is a need of additional settings for the attributes in the cube itself?

Hi @Anonymous
The Error means the column from SSAS(Live connction) doesn't support to be added in small multiples function in Power BI.
From Offical Blog: Create small multiples in Power BI
For live connected data models, this feature requires a version of AS which supports the second generation of DAX queries, aka SuperDAX: for tabular models, AS 2016 or newer; and for multidimensional models, AS 2019 or newer.
Please check the version of your AS and check whether your AS support the second generation of DAX queries, aka SuperDAX.
