Any suggestions on how to encircle related nodes without connecting each of them together?
For example, I have a set of nodes related to category 1. I want these category 1 nodes to be in close proximity with each other and surrounded by a circle but not connected. However, the edges, links, or connections should be displayed between nodes of different categories (e.g., category 1 nodes connected to category 2 nodes or category 3 nodes).

Hi,@JaysYee Hello,@amitchandak ,
thanks for your concern about this issue.
And I would like to share some additional solutions below
I am glad that you have completed your data presentation with force-directed graph 2.0.2 and network navigator custom visuals.
Here is some official information about force-directed graph 2.0.2 and network navigator, hope it can help you!

For you mentioned that you want to keep the nodes sticky and not move in the visual settings, I have not found an effective solution for the time being, this is a feature of the visual design, you can try to contact Microsoft official and express their needs.
I hope my suggestions give you good ideas, if you have any more questions, please clarify in a follow-up reply.
Best Regards,
Carson Jian,

@JaysYee , Are you looking for a network visual?

I should have clarified I've tried both the force-directed graph 2.0.2 and network navigator custom visuals but couldn't figure out how to (1) encircle a group of common nodes (e.g., shares same categories) or (2) keep the nodes sticky or unmovable.
