Dear all,
is there an option to allow multi-select of data within visuals without the need to hold CTRL on a dashboard?
For context, we built a team dashboard that includes multiple visuals, e.g. summarizing different areas of expertise or focus regions, as well as a table that summarizes all the data. Eventually, the end user should be able to simultaneously select a subcategory in the first visual, followed by a second subcategory in the second visual, as well as a third subcategory in the third visual while cross-filtering across all of them as well as the summarizing table. This is already possible by holding CTRL while making the selections. However, since this might not be intuitive to all end users the question arose if this can somehow be enabled to work without holding CTRL. For example, a filter selection would only be removed when selecting it a second time and would remain when selecting a second/different data point/category.
To keep the user experience as simple as possible we are not looking to include separate slicer buttons.
Very grateful for any ideas.
Thank you!

No, as far as I know, what you are asking for is not possible. To select elements from multiple visuals at the same time you would have to hold CTRL. Maybe add a note under the dashboard title or above the visuals where they will be clicking?
"*Hold CTRL and click to select different subcategories in multiple visuals."
I don't know why that would be. It is working for me on a published report. I select the left bar, then hold ctrl and click the right bar and the bottom table has both filters applied.

Do you know this would be disabled once published?
In desktop mode I can filter across with CTRL, once published it does not work on the workspace version.
Set the slicer settings to the settings shown in the photo and save. It will take effect in the dashboard and power bi service. I hope this helps. Please vote up if it helps. Thank you.
