Embedding a URL

I am currently a Tableau user migrating to Power BI. I have an embedded URL in my dashboards that is an interactive data form that once completed/submitted saves the data to a SQL server (date/time stamped), that I can pull back when needed and see the exact data points, check boxes and free text fields. In Power BI it seems that this may only be possible by using Power Apps and mirroring the form back to Power BI. I also can't confirm if using Power Apps allows the saved data to be saved to the server. I do not want to have a link to direct the user to an external site.

Thank you

  • Hi,
You can use Power Automate along with Power Apps. In the power automate you can pass the user

inputs and save it back to the server.

    Hi SBlaes-BJC

Thank you DiKi-I   for your input.

Utilizing Power Automate with Power Apps is certainly an effective strategy. This setup allows users to pass form inputs from the embedded Power Apps visual in Power BI directly to Power Automate, which then handles the logic to insert the data into a SQL Server backend. This solution not only supports seamless data capture without redirecting the user but also adds flexibility in managing the workflow.

Thank you for following up. I am still waiting on access to Power Apps to try to work through this process. I will reply with an update once attempted.
