Embedded images only partially appearing and when resized are unreadable/blurry

Hello,

I am embedding images via file upload. This is being done by binary to text then text to image calculated column. The images are appearing but only part of them. After resizing them, they appear fully but so blurry they are unreadable.  

I have tried several things:

Reducing the file size, which only makes them more unreadable

Trying to shrink the dimensions in Format

Using Power Query in Excel prior to uploading, which returned the same issue

Is it possible to compress the images prior to uploading? 

OneDrive embedded links can not be used because I use OneDrive business with confidential information.
