Edit the interactions and adjusting filters

I have a table of assets it is filtered using a column to just show the most recent values (this is basically a toggle filter)   I have a line chart that shows the historical values for all assets ...

analyst_guy Hi!

This is almost always a visual interaction + filter context problem, not a measure problem.

Try to create a Calendar Table and relate it with your fact table (from Calendar to Fact 1 - many single direction):

Calendar =
ADDCOLUMNS(
CALENDAR (MIN(FactTable[date]), MAX(FactTable[date])),
"Year", YEAR([Date]),
"Month", FORMAT([Date], "YYYY-MM")
)

 

Use the Calendar Date on Axis of the Visual.

 

Then Create a flag and use it as only filter on the visual:

Is Latest =
IF(
Fact[Date] =
CALCULATE(MAX(Fact[Date]), ALL(Fact)),
1, 0
)

I've tried to work this out. I'm not familiar with the term Flag in Power Bi. I've done the first step with the date table, and put the date table data on the x axis. I've created the relationship. But don't undertsand what to do with the Is Latest instruction.

 

Is Latest =
IF(
Fact[Date] When I try to recreate this formula his is asking for a measure not a column=
CALCULATE(MAX(Fact[Date]), ALL(Fact)),
1, 0
