Edit a report with incremental refresh

Hi guys,

Currently, I have a report in Service which has the incremental refresh started since february 2023 so I have data from february to today. We would like to add more historic data like since january 2022 to january 2023 to this existing dataset. We must do this way because we don't have a database or file which has all this data

The problem is I am pretty sure that the existing dataset or the existing report are not exploitable. Firstly because I can not download the PBIX and even if I could, I can not combine historic data to the existing data as existing tables are not shown in the power query

What do you recommand me to do please ?

How big are your existing partitions?

Are you familiar with ALM Toolkit?

DAX Studio?  SSMS?

You will need these tools to add partitions and modify your dataset meta data without impacting the existing partitions.

If this is all new to you then it might be faster to start over.
