Hello,
I am trying to edit the data through Power BI Desktop. We have a lot of data that needs manually modified, but it seems the replace function does not work on a single cell. How would someone suggest to manually modify data in Power Bi? All of this data comes from a source that cannot be modified prior to coming into Power BI. (Trying to automate a report).
I want for example for this data :
to replace the empty cell in country by "UK" wen the ID=id2 and "FR" when the ID=id5.
Thank you for your help.
Best regards,

Hi @Anonymous ,
If you cannot modify the data in the query editor, you can only use DAX to create new columns as @Greg_Deckler said.
Because there is no concept of cells in power Bi, you can only use DAX to create new columns, or use M query in query editor to modify the data.https://radacad.com/conditional-column-in-power-bi-using-power-query-you-can-do-anything

You could create a new column like:
if [ID] = "id2" then "UK" else if [ID] = "id5" then "FR" else [country]
or in DAX
SWITCH([ID],
"id2","UK",
"id5","FR",
[country]
)
