Based on the existing replies, I created simple data and used measures to achieve the desired effect.
This is the simple data:
1.If you want to get the total earliest and latest dates, you can use the following measures:
Maxdate = MAXX(ALL('Table'),'Table'[Date])Mindate = MINX(ALL('Table'),'Table'[Date])Result:
2.To get the respective earliest and latest dates for each material number, use the following measures:
Maxdate2 = CALCULATE(MAX('Table'[Date]),ALLEXCEPT('Table','Table'[MaterialNumber]))Mindate2 = CALCULATE(MIN('Table'[Date]),ALLEXCEPT('Table','Table'[MaterialNumber]))Result:

In-order to show the earliest date and the latest date you can sort the date column.
If this isn't your issue then please share some demo data with how would you like to visualize the data
