Dynamically calculate percentage from user input

Hello,

I'm faily new to the power bi world and currently working on a dashboard that shows the % weights of company's investment in different industry, now I'm trying to add a new feature to let dashboard viewer to have a the ability to make a "investment" (user input notional amount and industry) and see what's the %weight on each industry after the investment is made. Is it possible to do this? I have been struggling to use what-if parameter, but couldn't figure out.

Thanks in advance :) Please anyone assist me with this.

  • Hi shudiniu,

In Power BI, it doesn't allow users to input any value manually in report view. While, you can use a slicer to list all available values for users to select. To get the user's selection, you can create a measure like this:

    Selected value =
    LASTNONBLANK ( TableName[FieldName], 1 )

    Best regards,
