Hi!
I've been struggling with this for a couple of weeks now. I have a table (direct query) with a request ID, qty, approved date, and report date. The report date shows when the data was last run (once a month). So for the February 2023 run, the report date is always 01.02.2023.
The approved date shows when a request was approved. This can be any date and can go back up to a year.
What I want to do is I want to be able to use the report date (formated to "mm-yyyy") in a slicer so that my matrix table will show the last 4 months of approved quantities. So, if I select "january 2023", I want to see all approved items with an approved date from October to January, where the report date is "01.01.2023".
This is how the table looks:
Let's say my sliver is set to "Jan 2023". This means I am now looking for all qtys that have the report date 01.01.2023 and where the approved date falls into the prev. 4 months of that date.
My result should look like:
When I change the report month in the slicer, the table should adjust accordingly.
Any help is highly appreciated.
Thank you!
I think you can adapt the technique used in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d8Rm7dwM6gc. As there is a new calculated table involved you may need to switch to a composite model rather than just direct query.
