Did you use a version from a few years ago? I found an article in 2018 mentioned advanced option, but now it seems that bar chart no longer supports this function, after my test, you can use the following visual instead,

Genius , As a work around, File-> Options and settings -> Setting -> Preview feature -> Turn off New format Pane.
You should still get data color
OK, very good, but it doesen' t work , the problem is equal.
the advanced control desappear, where is it???
