I would like to use the text box with dynamic values based on a measure. This works for me when I am connecting to a Power BI data model created in Power BI, but when I am connecting to a Power BI data model created in Tabular Editor I can not use measures as dynamic values.
I have read that the Q/A funcionality must be turned on, but how is it possible to turn this on in tabular editor. Does any one have any ideas how to get this to work?
Thank you for input. But this is a work around that we would like to avoid, as it will be difficult to make changes to the data models that are developed using Tabular editor and where we would prefer to make changes. Does anyone know if there are any plans to solve this issue som we can continue to use Tabular Editor and use Q%A functionality?
Tabular Editor does not have a built-in Q&A feature. However, you can use the “Export to Power BI” feature in Tabular Editor to export your model to Power BI Desktop and then use Q&A in Power BI Desktop.
To export your model to Power BI Desktop, follow these steps:
Once you have imported your model into Power BI Desktop, you can use Q&A to create dynamic text boxes based on measures.
If you find this insightful, please provide a Kudo and accept this as a solution.
