Dynamic measure for Overall return

Not really getting the selection of the values you have for product A the following dates:
3 years - 31/07/2020 - 31/08/2019
4 years - 31/07/2019 - 31/08/2018
5 years - 31/07/2018 - 30/04/2018
If you selection date is from April 2018 to April 2020 why are the values going from July to August?
If I do a manual selection of the data I can achieve your result imeditatly on the measure I created however I need to know how you select the context of the measure so I can give you the complete answer.
Can you explain a little bit better on how the selection of the data is made?
I just noticed that the "end date" was supposed to be 31/07/2020 while the "years remaining (from beginning")" is correctly set at 3 years - sorry!
As a result of this and the fact mentioned in the initial scope that the years remaining "must increase by 1 everytime there is one year difference between the selected "End date" (31-07-2020 in this example) and the date of return" (all the dates listed in the mid table explaining how the data is worked with).
This means that it changes to 4 years when the date reaches "31/07/2019" as shown in your "following dates" and 5 years from "31/07/2018"
Is it more clear now?

Just one additional question what happens to the selection of dates if you for example slect the years remaing as 4 or as 2?
Can you share the expected result on the data selection?
I already have the values changing accordingly but I need to understand what happens becuase currently I'm stuck at 3 4 and 5 yearsa based on the date selected.

Changing the number of years remaining will not influence the selection of dates.
Does that make sense?

Yes it make sense. So you are saying that if I select the exact same data but with 4 years instead of 3 the data selection is the same except my calculation is made only on the rows with 4 and 5 years is that it?
