Dynamic X axis change
Hi Experts!
I am stuck in my partners one of the requirement, i am hoping some help/provide solution from the community.
Here is the requirement.
I have 3 slicers and 1 graph. 3 Slicers consists of Region, Category, Subcategory and values of all this in One graph.
Now i am providing this to MC members, they want category labels in X Axis automatically when they select any particular region from the slicer, so basically they need to drilldown without clicking on anything except region slicers. same way for sub category.
I am providing more brief.
The first look should be sales of all regions, when they select any particular region from slicer then the graph(X-Axis) should jump into category and provide sales by category for that particular region, same way they select any category in slicers then it should direct jump to subcategory of that particular category.
FYI:-
1) There will always be top to bottom slicing, they won’t be reverse method ex:- they won’t select sub category and see what is happening in category.
2) They don't want to use drill down method(which is clicking on down arrow button in graph when you have hierarchy)
What i tried:-
Method 1) i tried using Bookmarks (sorry i am not able to upload any image), but its again the double click( selecting region in slicer and clicking on bookmark to show by category), which they dont need in that way.
Method 2) i also tried using the below link method, but its again 2 click as you need to select which graph to display and select on region slicers. https://www.kasperonbi.com/dynamically-switching-axis-on-visuals-with-power-bi/
Method 3) I tried using measure but Axis won’t change. and i also know we won’t be able to create dynamic table to use columns in Axis.
I am eagerly waiting for response and also to know your view/feedback if you are also facing the same.
Thanks in advance:)
regards,
Nagesh
I would request to provide some solution other then this method and it should have just a single click.
