Hello,
I am looking to do something like what is shown in the below video (creating a toggle to select which Top N to show), but my data set is a Live Connection to Analysis Services. As such, I don't have the ability to add tables (and my IT team owns the underlying data and is reluctant to add things on the backend). Is there another way to do this / a workaround for when you are linked up to Analysis Services?

Hi @Anonymous ,
Yes, if you use connect live mode ,there is no way to dynamically change the top N currently.

It is a place for customers provide feedback about Microsoft Office products . What’s more, if a feedback is high voted there by other customers, it will be promising that Microsoft Product Team will take it into consideration when designing the next version in the future.

Hi @Anonymous ,
When you connect to SSAS using connect live mode, it is not supported to create new table and calculated column, while you can only create report level measures for SSAS Tabular Model in Power BI Desktop . However it still can't achieve your demand of dynamic top N selection filter.
So recommend you using Import mode instead of connect live mode when connect to SSAS in your scenario.

Thank you, Amy! That's helpful. My organization requires live connection because they don't want people manipulating the underlying data in any reports (so there is one source of truth) and so that data updates are pushed in automatically. If this is the case, then there is no way to dynamically change the N seen, correct?
Thanks for your help!
