Dynamic Time Slicers
Hi,
I have a very long date range in my data which makes my "Between" slicers very unusable for short periods of time. I'd like to know whether it's possible to have a "between" slicer that changes the date range depending on the selection in another slicer.
What I had in mind is to have one "list" slicer with years (let's call it slicer A) and another "between" slicer with complete dates (let's call it slicer B). This way, when I select just one year in slicer A, my range in slicer B adjusts automatically.
is this possible?
I've been reading other threads about dynamic slicers and I don't have much expectations but I thought it was worth asking.
Thanks!
Hi Anonymous,
1. We can create a calculated column firstly.
YEAR = YEAR('Table'[Value])2. As the interaction is disabled by default between slicers. So we should enbale it then we can get the result as you need.
For more details, please check the pbix as attached.

I don't see why that wouldn't work. Probably best to add a Year column to whatever your fact table is and use that as your slicer. Hard to say specifically though without sample data.
