Dynamic Text in visualizations
I am seeking a way to have a text box or visualization show me a string value that is tied to the values in a slicer.
Ex. I have a table with: Names, Region 1, Region 2, Region 3. I want to show their state choice in each region when their name is chosen in a slicer.
I tried using the "card" visualization but it only allows numeric variables, and a multi-line card has that "|" before every line, which ruins the image on my page background. If there is a way to tie a textbox to a field, that would be ideal as well. I also read about creating measures that will put out a string variable that can be used in a "card" visualization, but I have yet to find a DAX expression that will work.
Thank you!

This helped me solve one problem, thanks!
A nice addition to this would be if it kept soft returns. That way you could have lines of text seperated in your table in excel and it woudl be maintained in the visual.
Thanks!

A good solution. Would be nice if it had two improvements:
1. Add surrounding text in the visual rather than having to create a measure just to fill the text.
2. A way to suppress the category label.
Thanks.
