Dynamic Resizing of Custom Tooltip
Hi, I have a sample dataset of Regions and their associated towns. I have created a customized tooltip following the steps in the following tutorial: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/desktop-tooltips
When a user hovers over each Region, the tooltip will show the associated towns.
In some cases, there are very few associated towns that do not require the entire canvas dedicated to the tooltip.
Is it possible for the tooltip to be resized automatically based on the number of records?

After my test, i considered using custom visual but did not find one can reach your reqiurement.
I think there is no such function, and you can create an idea here:

I ran into this problem recently too. I had created a calculation group for time intelligence and wanted to see those values displayed over a stacked column chart with the tooltip.
My first thought was to look under the table formatting settings. Under column header, I saw the Options “Auto-size” width. My excitement lasted about 3 seconds until I realized this setting only applied inside the table column headers and would not be related to sizing to the tooltip page.
Anyway, the only way it seems to accomplish this right now is by manually doing it. Hover the mouse between the two columns and drag to approximate tooltip page size. If you have many columns, it’s a painful process, and not perfect unless you’re counting pixels, but it’s better than the awkward white space in the tooltip IMO.
