Is this on the service? If so you need to set up a gateway and enable scheduled refresh of the dataset.  The "Refresh Button" on the service does not do this.

We have power bi reports which use SQL server connection to import the data in the model container. Then I publish this report into workspace.

 

Still the 'refresh now' on dataset won;t work?

    I believe the “Refresh Now” only updates the report from the data set. Are you using the redhead icon on the data set itself and/or do you have scheduled refresh turned on for the data set? Assuming refresh all and rebuild bing works on the desktop. If so this is probably baboybabetter question for the community on the BI Service forum vs desktop.

      I tried with refresh now, din't try with schedule refresh.
