Dynamic Legend on Drilldown

Hi All,

I've been reading up on the forums, but still haven't found a solution to my problem. I've read up on Dynamically Changing the Legend based on a slicer selection (https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Desktop/Dynamically-update-the-legend-of-the-chart-based-on-the-slicer/td-p/2437408) & How to Drill Down to a different set of values (https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Desktop/Help-Drill-down-to-a-different-set-of-values/td-p/1073969) & I havent' been able to fit these solutions to my report.

I am measuring the # of sites which are "Achieving Goal", "On-Track" or "Below Goal" based on specfic Categories & Sub-Categories (Category Score). The Sub-Categories are specific to their Parent Category. If a site is "Achieving Goal" for all Sub-Categories, the Parent Category will by "Achieving Goal" as well. "Below Goal" & "On-Track" Categories may contain Sub-Categories with varying levels of achievement.

I want to display a stacked bar chart displaying the categories & the # of sites in each "Category Score". I'd also like to drilldown to see the Sub-Categories and their "Sub-Cat Score". My problem is that I cannot get the Legend to switch between "Category Score" and "Sub-Cat Score" once a users drills down.

Here is a snapshot of my current test data and visuals, any help is appreciated!!

    Hi jtteyssier ,

I think using a field parameter is the closest solution to what you have in mind. there is no way to put multiple fields in the legend to make it hierarchical. Using the isinscope function does tell you the current hierarchy, but there is no way to put a measure into the legend.

    Hi jtteyssier ,

You can create a field parameter.

Place the parameter field in Legend and select Category Score before drilling down.

After the drill down select Sub-Cat Score.

If your Current Period does not refer to this, please clarify in a follow-up reply.

Hi! I appreciate the response! This is essentially where I am stuck now. I have created the field parameter, but I don't think this solution is intuitive enough for my users - they will expect the drilldown to automatically switch between Category & Sub-Cat Score.

Is there anyway to automatically set the field parameter slicer? Wondering if I can leverage ISINSCOPE for this?
