Dear all,
I'm recreating a Sharepoint report in PowerBI. In the Sharepoint-report all records of the matrix are shown, so the amount of records determine the height of the visual. In my Sharepoint-report, the Y-position of the matrix is always 20px below the underside of the visual above (even when the visual above is 50px or 500px high). Is there a way to achieve these two functionalities in PowerBI in 2021 (like you can write adaptive height and y in PowerApps)?
Thank you in advance
Hi @ZeDe ,
It is not possible in PowerBI. The auto size of a visual is not available now. After the size of a visual is fixed, it will not be changed conditionally based on the content.
PowerBI added the ability to show and snap-to a grid, which makes lining things up easy.
You can turn that feature on by going:
Open PowerBI > File > Options & Settings > Options > Preview Features > Gridlines & Snap to Grid
Once that's on, go to View on the ribbon and turn on the grid.
Alternatively, you can alter the X Y coordinates of each graph, but that's much more time consuming
Best Regards,
Liang

I don't think this is possible in Power BI Desktop. The visual boundaries are a fixed size.
A paginated report (Report Builder) can do this sort of thing but is a very different piece of technology.
