Dynamic Aggregation of Dates

I am trying to build a time series, but when a large date range is selected, I get a very noisy line graph. I want to to aggregate the data when a large date range is selected BUT still show unaggregated data when a small date range is selected.

Creating a Group is essentially what I am looking to do BUT only for large date ranges. I do not want the user to have to manually manipulate anything but the date range. Maybe I am missing an inherent function of the Line Chart?

How do I accomplish this?

I am not sure there are set values. I want to be able to limit how many data points are shown in the chart. Maybe its 60 data points that looks good and more than that it is binned/aggregated down to 60 points but less than that the raw data is shown. (Using the built in Grouping function it bins the entire dataset not the sliced portion.)

Hi @JonCokeChi ,

For long date ranges and short date ranges, what are their specific definitions? How long is a date range a long date range? What kind of j aggregation are you referring to, SUM, MAX, AVERAGE or something else?

Sorry for that the information you have provided is not making the problem clear to me. Can you please share more details to help us clarify your scenario?

Please provide me with more details about your table and your problem or share me with your pbix file after removing sensitive data.
