Duration

Hi, 

I want to get the duration in Power BI ,between strat time column and end time column ( 24hrbased), when i did subtract I could get it in power queery but in model it is converting to a value. How to keep the same duration in model as in query.

ex: start time : 16:00:00( 4pm)  column

End time: 16:30:00(4:30pm) column

Need a column of duration , I have duration 30min, 45 min 1hr and 2hr.

If you want to change how it is displayed but keep date/time as the data type,  there are dozens and dozens of ways to format a date time value within Power BI.  See below image.

If none of those work for you , and you're okay with the data type being text, create it using DAX and check out the FORMAT() function and you will be able to customize it to display however you want.
