Dropdown Slicer Not Going Down
Hi,
I am using a dropdown list as a slicer but I'm facing issues design-wise. My dropdown slicer is going up instead of going down. Is there a way for me to fix it to go down?
Dropdown Slicer going up
Regards,

vicente-iii I don't think you can change the behavior, I never noticed until you pointed it out, most of the time I have slicers on the top of the screen. I guess you can add this an idea on ideas forum, not sure what else to tell.
I would ❤ Kudos if my solution helped. 👉 If you can spend time posting the question, you can also make efforts to give Kudos whoever helped to solve your problem. It is a token of appreciation!

I have tested this as well on my Power Bi Desktop It seems there is a zone on the report/dashboard where the dropdown flips from a downward display to an upward display.
I think Microsoft should look at this as an design option for control for the dropdown. At least specify the zone range on the screen where this control switches from a downward to upward render of the list.
In my opinion, a dropdown that reveals upwards doesn't make sense. Even goes against the integral name of the function drop"down". - parry2kSuper User
vicente-iii if it is on the lower part of the authoring canvas and there is no space to show a minimum dropdown values, it will show upwards. move the slicer up on the canvas and then test.

vicente-iii just tested, if Y position is 278 or more which is pretty much 1/2 on the screen, it shows upwards, seems weird though but that's what it is

Hi parry2k,
Yes, it does go down if its in the upper half of the canvas. Is there no way to show it going down in the lower half? It looks very strange.

This is something that's happened during an update (idiot testing team) as I have the same report saved to a different patch version and it works just fine.
