Drillthrough Card

Hi,

Is it possible to have a drill through in Power BI where it goes into the drillthrough page and passes the name of the field into a card as a title?

E.G. if I have a generic item drillthrough landing page but I'm drilling through to it from two different graphs that that are drilling from the order number and also the day of the week sales. I would want the card to say in this case if its the order number or the day of the week orders? It would just save having so many drillthrough landing pages when they're unecesarry.

Thanks in advance

Liam

HEy @lherbert501 ,

yes, you can only have one value per card. But on a drillthrough page you can have multiple visuals.

So at the end you can show all information you want.

If you need any help please let me know.

Hi  @lherbert501 ,

I created some data:

Here are the steps you can follow:

1. Create calculated column.

Flag =
'Table'[date]&" "&'Table'[Group]

2. Click on the Card's Title - fx.

3. Select Column [Flag].

4. Result:

When drillthrough, it will be automatically displayed in the title.

Hi @v-yangliu-msft  and @selimovd

I've only just came across this but it looks like its not possible.

It was this that I was trying for Solved: dynamic title based on drill through selection - Microsoft Power BI Community

Thank you so much for your time in answering. This thread is 2018 but I presume its still not possible

Hey @lherbert501 ,

yes, that's possible.

You just in the target page have to define the fields that should be passed to the drillthrough page:

https://docs.microsoft.com/power-bi/create-reports/desktop-drillthrough#set-up-the-drillthrough-targ...

Then you can use the filtered field for the card or title.

If you need any help please let me know.

Hi @selimovd ,

Thanks for the reply.

If there was more than one field though, this would have to be in the case of a measure would it not?

Thanks

Liam

Hey @lherbert501 ,

you can add as many columns as you want.

Just drag and drop them to the same field as the first one.

Hi @selimovd ,

Thanks for your reply.

You can only have one field per card I thought? I'm aware you can add many fields to drillthrough but it was more to use the same landing page for multiple drillthroughs, with the card displaying the relevant title/field.

Thanks
