Exhibit A shows one dimension field, Loss Type, in the rows, and a bunch of measures as columns. Please note the years on the columns are just labels, the date range in the measures is sort of hard coded.
If I try and drill through on let's say the 3rd row of PY-YTD ($12,128), I get what's in exhibit B. The Loss Type is drilled through properly but it returns rows that make up the sum of that Loss Type (minus PY-YTD because that is of course redundant.)
I am of course hoping to be able to drill through and return lines that only make up the one value I'm right clicking on. Is this possible to achieve with how I've constructed this model?
Hi @Anonymous ,
Did you mean that the data in dirll through page is not correct? Could you please provide some sample data (exclude sensitive data) and the setting of these two visuals(just as shown in below screenshot)? If they involve any measure or calculated column, please also provide the related formula. It is better if you can provide one simple sample pbix file. Thank you.
Best Regards
Correct, the data in the drill through page is not correct. It shows the amount of rows in total for that matrix row, not the matrix row and column where I right clicked.
After further review I don't think this is possible. For aesthetic purposes, 2019 - 2021 in the matrix above have the years hard coded in the measures (my stakeholders didn't want to see PY-YTD and YTD var for each year and I wanted to try and NOT create two tables.) They are not the result of using Date/Year as a column. Drill through works properly when the column headers are the years, not individual measures titled as Years
