Drilldown by Legend Issue
I have time entry data that is categorized in several different manners and I'd like to:
a) Represent the axis by week of the year
b) Start at a high level (in this case three different categories, although two are showing on the graph - Billable and Non Value-add)
c) Be able to drill down on a category to, say, Activity Type (so if I click on the Billable value add in this case (blue) I can see the different activity types associated with that category and then..
d) Drill down some more
When I swap the axis to category it gets real messy obviously (second screen shot).
Is anyone aware of how I might achieve this?

What is happenning is that you are changing the granularity of the axis and of the "steps" of your column chart.
When you use the legend on a stacked column chart, the values in the legends are the several "steps" of your column, so in this case when you have category name you only have two so it returns two "steps" when you go to the week it will show a "step" by each week.
You need to keep the week on the axist and add the next level of detail to this Axis so in this case you select a blue value in a specific week and you get that adittional level of detail.
If this does not give you expected result can you please share a mockup data or sample of your PBIX file and expected reuslt. You can use a onedrive, google drive, we transfer or similar link to upload your files.
