Drill Through reset filters

Hi,

I have a bar chart of sales by ship mode that drill throughs to another page to enable detailed table

So If i click Ship Mode = Standard then only standard is shown on the drill through page.

However what I want is after I go back to my bar chart page, my drill through page should reset its filters to show all values

Can i do that.

If this is not possible directly is there a workaround?

Hi,

I know this thread is old, but I may have a solution.
If you want your page to be used both as a drill through page and a normal page, you can duplicate the drill through page, and hide the created duplicate. Then, you enable the cross-filtering and add an extraction field only on the hidden page.

This way, the drill through on the bar chart will redirect the user to the hidden page, while keeping the visible page intact.

Hi, @klehar ;

I'm not quite sure what you mean. Could you give me an example to illustrate?

Hi, @klehar ;

Method 1:you could clear the filter after drill through.

Method 2:if you don't want to keep the filter about drill through ,To jump to another interface that is not affected by the first page (show all), use button+ Page (or button+bookmark).
1.add button.

2.set action.

I didn't get the second solution

I want to enable automatic learing of filters when the user navigates back to main page

No, it retains its settings. Pages you drill through to should not be used as normal pages as the drill through function is confusing. I always hide my drill through pages so the user can only get to them via the drill through.

You can clear the filters on the drill through page - they are the italics filters in the lower right. But that isn't intuitive for users. You could also place a button at the top that says "clear filters" and connect that to a bookmark on that page that resets filters to your preference.

@edhans appreciate your quick response

This is what I did so far. Seperate the dirll through page and details page

However my report has exploded and hence I wanted to combine my table view page and drill through page so that they can serve 2 purposes.

That is the price paid when trying to get 1 page to serve 2 purposes. The software isn't designed that way. It assumes 2 pages, and the drill through is hidden only accessable via a drill through action.
