Hello PowerBI Community!
I have buttons set up to navigate through pages, but I want them to trigger a drill-through action. Specifically, when I filter data using a slicer, I want the button to dynamically change its value based on the filtered result. For example, if the total value is initially 10 and I apply a filter to show only specific data with a value of 3, I want the button to reflect this change. When I click the button, I want it to drill through to a table displaying only the 3 filtered data points, rather than showing all 10.
Has anyone implemented this functionality before? Any guidance or examples would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Hi, @Lenskie15
You can set up an effective drillthrough page in the report.Create a button and set its action type to Drillthrough. Select the drillthrough page as the target. You can pass filters for more fields by cross-filtering the visual that contains the drillthrough field. If your selection is unclear, the button will be disabled. You can customize the formatting options for the disabled status of the drillthrough button.
Keep in mind that the drillthrough button isn't bound to a single visual. It is designed to improve the discoverability of important drillthrough scenarios in your report, and you can also display different text on the button if certain conditions are met.
