Downtime Hours, Open/Close Dates Visualization
Hi all,
Trying to get downtime (in hours) data below in a Table & Line/Bar Visualization by Month & Quarter. Struggling a bit to get an accurate representation due to dates. Could you please advise on best solution.

Hi zero,
Create a date table if you don't already have one. Add columns in that for Month Year and Quarter. Join the Date in your date table to Completed Date and then you'll be able to add a table visual or line chart with Downtime and Month/Quarter.

I thikn the challenge is more on how to asssign the downtimes on the timeline since there is the start, the end and the dates in between. So where to put the duration to? Here is an approach how I would do it.
In this case I would create a fact table with granularity item/date and then calculate the duration per item per day (see below)
BAsed on a table like this you can easily build a column, line-chart or matrix with the actual downtime by quarter and by month.
