Double Drill Down, single record select, Possible?

Hi, I would like to know if anyone have an idea how to implement the following

Start      > Page1List, Select List Item(1), Click Button to Drill Down to Page2 (DetailsP1)

DetailsP1 > View Details, Click Button to Drill Down to Page3 (DetailsP2)

DetailsP2 > View Details (item drill down filter kept from Start selection

- This works now only If user reselects itme from DetailsP1 to allow the further drill down

- I current have 2 buttons on Start page, and users has to select either DetailsP1 or P2

- Is there a way to keep drill down selection on P1 to allow P2 drill down without reselecting a record again

Hey @RickJ ,

can you please create a pbix with sample data, upload the pbix to onedrive or dropbox and share the link. I have to admit that I've my difficulties to understand your requirements.

Nevertheless, does synching slicers help: Slicers in Power BI - Power BI | Microsoft Docs

Tom

Thanks, Yes I found it hard to explain also, please see linked sample file.

1. Select item on 1st page and click "View Fact" > This shows fact of item selected

2. Click View Fact 2 > This *Should* go to next page showing fact 2 of the same item selected

Hi @RickJ ,

Accroding to microsoft documentation, I think you cannot keep drill down selection on P1 to allow P2 drill down without reselecting a record again. Since the drillthrough button isn't tied to a single visual, if your selection is ambiguous, then the button is disabled.

If the problem is still not resolved, please provide detailed error information or the expected result you expect. Let me know immediately, looking forward to your reply.

Best Regards,
Winniz
