Dotted line around the data section in the Report view

Hi everyone,

I'm sure there's a simple solution to this, but I'm new to this BI thing, so help me out, please.

How do I get rid of this dotted line showing around the main area? I've tried Format in Visualizations, but nothing 😞

Hi @AliceW,

This is by design. There is no option to remove it. As a workaround, you can set the Transparency of page background to 0% in order to make the dotted line invisible.

My recommendations as a new PBI Learner. As i ended up having a Dotted Line as follows when i was using a Wallpaper and it was over filling the area. Learnt a way to fix after reading through this article.

VizViz

After following this article and did bit of dwelling and realized as follows.

  1. If the Dashboard / Page required to be built with a background image, use Page Background rather than the Wallpaper.
  2. The Viz built with a max of 16:9 pixel, would allow you to have the viz fit nicely with a background image on the Page Background.

This wasn't there earlier. What is it even supposed to do?

Good question! In my opinion, it just takes the focus away from the charts and should not be there at all.

Thank you, Y! It works!!
