Donut chart with filterable options

Hello everyone, I'm trying to create a donut chart with multiple rows and multiple columns. The spreadsheet looks like this:

Adults          Children                Infants                                           Rent               Food               Utilities

1                       0                             0                                                $1200              $100             $50

1                      1                                 1                                                $1200           $300               $100

2                      2                              1                                                     $1200            $400                $100

I'd like the columns for the family type to be the filters and the columns for rent, food, utilities to be what shows up on the donut chart. When I try to do it, it is automatically summing the entire spreadsheet and I don't want it to do that. Can anyone help?

Hi @JodieMarie ,

By design, when you place the [Adults] field on the legend, since [Adults] contains only 1 and 2 cases, the visual object shows the sum value based on these two cases by default, you can change the aggregation method of [Values] by clicking the down arrow.

If you want to show the rent, food, and utilities for different households, create a column for the household situation.

family type = "Adults" & 'Table'[Adults] &" " & "Children" & 'Table'[Children] & " " & "Infants" & 'Table'[Infants]

Note that if the composition of the household situation is exactly the same, the [Values] value will also show the aggregated sum value by default. If you want to display the values for each family separately even if the composition of the family situation is identical, go to transform data -> Add index column and place the index column on [Legend].
