    Can you try the below custom visualization from the power bi visuals store and see if it works.

    I think it can be helpful in your case.

      thanks for your reply. this is however something else, it does not have Latitude / Longituge and underlying maps.

    I think you can take a look at this article written by ankitpatira. R script and R visual are used to draw a network map there.
