Displaying Tooltip over Grand Total in Matrix Visual

Hi,

 

I am trying to have my custom tooltip pop out when I hover over the grand total field in my matrix. It seems to work when I hover over the value but not the grand total for some reason. Why does it work for the values but not the grand total?
