I tried to do a visualisation which sounded easy but seems to be impossible with built-in tools - or I'm just not finding the right settings.
I have a data set containing items that have a numerical score and a transaction date.
Example below:
| ID | DATE | SCORE |
| 1 | 2022-03-01 | 45 |
| 2 | 2022-03-01 | 70 |
| 3 | 2022-03-01 | 30 |
| 4 | 2022-03-02 | 60 |
| 5 | 2022-03-03 | 50 |
| 6 | 2022-03-03 | 20 |
What I wanted to display is some kind of plot that has the date on the x-axis and displays a point for every entry according to the score (0-100) on the y-axis.
So basically something like this:
Unfortunately I can't find a solution for that which doesn't summarize the score and displays the single values.
Any hints?
Thanks
Thomas

Hi @computhomas ,
Please configure the fields as shown in the screenshots.
If this doesn't work for you or I misunderstand your needs, please consider sharing more details about it. And it would be great if there was a sample file without any sensitive information here.

Hi @computhomas ,
Here is Scatter Plot - Categorical X Axis chart which will help to get categorical data or Date on X-axis and also on Y-axis with non aggregated values for ID (Just set the score value as "Don't Summarize" in Y axis value field). Hope this helps you.

This was made with our Custom Visual creator tool PBIVizEdit.com. With this tool,
Give this a shot and let us know if you face any problem/errors.
You can use the editor to modify your visual further (some modifications cannot be done in Power BI window and have to be in editor).
Thanks,

HI Gao,
This only works when the Date Hierarchy is selected, like here:
Then I get a result like this:
Once I select the date itself, like here:
I get this error:
Hi @computhomas,
Please check whether the data type is the same as mine, if not, please modify it to the same. And try again.

Thank you, I didn't realize I had to set the lead_score to Sum again.
@computhomas , just a though - Scatter visual with X-axis as date, Details as ID , score as value
It's crutial to create a new Index column, giving you an unique number to each row. Then you can use this column into the Legend field for the scatter visual. Worked for me.
So, nothing in Values, X Axis with dates, Y axes with your selected field, and Legend with this Index column. If this doesn't work, then it's probably matter of fields format.
